Have you tried Dragon Fruit before? This unique fruit grown in Maryborough, comes in white and pink fleshed varieties and is similar in texture to kiwi fruit with a mildly sweet flavour that is great added to drinks or smoothies or mixed in with a refreshing salad. Looking for inspiration with Dragon Fruit? Try our Dragon Fruit Salad.

Squeeze some Lemon or Lime from Mundubbera, into any stir-fry or curry for a zesty finish. Or simply drop a slice into a cold glass of water to refresh on a hot summer’s day. These Ginger and Lime Coolers are a thirst quenching, summer day essential to sip away on, while enjoying the warm weather.

Valencia Oranges are another favourite citrus. Bursting with flavour, from Leeton, New South Wales, these oranges make a delicious vitamin-C packed snack or drink! There’s nothing better than freshly squeezed orange juice on a cruisy weekend morning, or some slices while you’re watching the kids play cricket or swim at the beach! So fresh and full of flavour, Yellow Squash from Bundaberg are golden little nuggets ready to be scooped into your basket at your local fruit and veg shop. Enjoy them at the peak of their season now. Try a Tomato and Squash Galette or Squash Vegetable Medley for a meat free meal.

From Stanthorpe and South Australia, Red Capsicums are full of goodness and with many health benefits, including being high in magnesium and vitamin B6 which can assist with getting a better night’s sleep and reducing anxiety. Sweet and moreish, Capsicum Pesto is a delicious dip for a summer snack.

Lockyer Valley Corn is great value and quality now. Add some sweetness to your meals with fresh corn from your local fruit and veg shop. Our Mexican Corn Salad is a family favourite adding so much freshness to your meals and is perfect to pack for a school or work lunch.

Chard or more commonly known as Silverbeet, is at its eating best from Stanthorpe. Warmer weather has boosted growth so plenty to get your hands on at your local fruit and veg shop. Take advantage of the freshness of this dark green, leafy beauty and make some Easy Silverbeet Wraps with Peanut Sauce.

Broccoli from Gatton is still in steady supply. For a different mid-week meal, crank up your oven and chargrill some Broccoli.
